Danny Boy Steward, A.K.A., Danny Boy and with all that talent, is poised to become a distinct signature in the book of prolific entertainers of our time. With strong roots in gospel music, this Chicago native has been involved with music since he was a young child. Born into a family of musically talented people, he grew up listening to the classics of jazz, gospel and R&B. He obtained most his inspiration from artists like Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, and the late, great, Marvin Gaye. But none more importantly than his mother, Dorothy, who was also a very talented singer and poet.

At the young age of 14, Danny entered the music industry as a label mate to some of the most notable icons in Hip Hop and R&B history such as Tupac Shakur & Snoop Dogg. His strong, mature, and soulful voice caught the attention of producers Dr Dre, Dallas Austin, & Grammy Award winner, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. He also has been featured on songs with various recording artists like Aaron Hall, Mary J. Blige, K- Ci & Jojo, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and the late LEGENDARY rapper, Tupac Shakur.

It was the hit, soulful, anthem, “I Ain't Mad At Cha”, featured on Tupac’s multi-platinum album, “All Eyez On Me” in 1996, that made Danny's voice resonate in the hearts and souls of both young and old, WORLDWIDE! This heartfelt song received enormous acclaim & airplay on both Urban & Top 40 radio stations that continues to this day. Danny Boy followed up with the smash hit “Toss It Up”, featured on Tupac's “Makaveli” album in 1996, and also performed with him on “Saturday Night Live”.

Then, in 1997, he contributed 2 songs, “It’s Over Now”, which was written by Babyface, and “I Can’t Get Enough” to the soundtrack of the Tupac Shakur & Tim Roth movie, “Gridlock’d”. He later went on to record 3 songs for the soundtrack to Eddie Griffin's stand-up comedy movie, “DysFunKtional Family” in 2003, and with Twista, on one of his best albums to date,

“Kamikaze”, in the song “Snoopin” in 2004. You can also spot him in various documentaries about Tupac, such as, “Thug Angel” & “Tupac: Resurrection”. Danny’s touring as a background singer found him doing shows with Teena Marie, Norm Connors and Rick James, KC & JoJo, Bobby Brown, and New Edition Reunion.

Danny has been working on various projects to become known as a COMPLETE ENTERTAINER with unforgettable abilities. He ventured into the theatre to star in such plays as “Love The Hurt Away” and “Lady Sings the Blues” by John Ruffin.

Danny Boy opened his first restaurant in Atlanta, then relocated to Vegas and opened another restaurant. He currently resides in Chicago where he has opened his newest restaurant venture, Oh DannyBoy's.

After such a colorful life and career, Danny Boy released his biography "Stranded On Death Row" but even with all that work that spans over two decades, his chance to shine as a solo artist has been just outside his grasp...until now. The best chapters have yet to be written about this gifted artist. Danny's main goal is to showcase the gift that God gave him for all to enjoy and to build for a long lasting career. Danny has never abandoned his love for music or the stage and has been In the studio preparing for his upcoming album "Black Heart". Look for the singles "Done Me Wrong" and "This Song" out now followed by the full project which will be released Valentines Day, February 14, 2023.
